I am the self-proclaimed Northern California Pole Dance Ambassador. This blog is about pole dancing, weight loss surgery, health, fitness, aging gracefully, and life-in-general. I had gastric bypass in 2004 and lost 165 pounds. Pole dancing and yoga have helped me keep off the majority of the weight. I have struggled with my weight for my entire life and am on a journey of self-acceptance.
Meet Elizabeth Rodriguez of Spinderella Fitness. She lost 135 pounds in 15 months and opened her own studio. Here is her story!

Do you have any upcoming events you'd like people to know about? Well, I am about to open up my 2nd location.
What else would you like people to know about you or your studio?
I believe what makes us different then other places are the style of classes we offer and another big factor is, most studio owners have some type of fitness/dance. Here I was this overweight girl who fell in LOVE with the power of the pole. I was NEVER the working out type of person and now you can call me some type of fitness guru. From teaching girls how to eat, using natural vitamins & supplements and most importantly helping the girls get back their self confidence that alone is priceless. I will never forget one day I was told by an instructor at a Pole Studio that I shouldn't take the class. I walked out of the class in tears but what that did for me it made me stronger. Now am opening up my 2nd location and plan to complete in the Fall of 2012.
